Timing is everything, and it’s doubly so in the art of wine. Since 2004, Riot Skateshop in Bordeaux, France, has been cultivating the connection between old-world craftsmanship and skateboarding culture. The Nike SB x Riot Dunk Low Pro draws inspiration from a proud city whose regional aesthetic is known the world over for its rich winemaking history. Using a mahogany suede upper with deep red tones and black suede underlays, the Riot Dunk Low’s translucent red-toned sole pays homage to the grapes that create Bordeaux’s unmistakable flavor profile. The wine theme continues with a gradient cork graphic on the sockliner, wax-sealed logos on the tongue, and an embossed logo on the heel. As a finishing touch, the Riot Dunk Low pays homage to its late canine guardian of the shop with an embroidered logo on the heel.
