Carpet Company is introducing its upcoming collaborative model with Vans, which comes in the form of a new Old Skool silhouette called the Vans Skate Old Skool 36+ by Carpet Company.
The colorway pays homage to the original yellow-black launch colorway of the Style 36, but is elevated with faux crocodile leather, linking this Vans x Carpet Company shoe to the Vans x Carpet Company scaly drop from Fall 2024. Each pair—limited to just 1,977 pieces—is individually numbered and elevated with subtle details like embroidered accents, custom Arabic labels, interchangeable Velcro tongue patches, and die-cut rubber logos on the iconic Vans waffle tread. The sneakers are accompanied by a mini apparel collection that includes a baggy hoodie and pants, and a blue Carpet (Lunch Box) bag.
The sneakers, dipped in a white and yellow colorway, feature a black shaping stripe, a red co-branded logo on the tongue, and a silver Carpet Company star on the side of the heel. The design is completed by a yellowish cream sole, and a yellow pull tab is also attached to the back. Each sneaker's 1977 number is embossed on the inside of the tongue, with additional Carpet Company and Vans branding etched underneath.
